Week 4

Sleep and health are closely related.  I can speak from experience with having a long run with trying to get some quality sleep.  Some nights I will only sleep 2 hours, others I will sleep the whole night.  I can very much feel the effect of a loss of sleep.  I think everyone can relate to having a terrible nights sleep, or maybe even a few nights in a row when stress or any other outside influence is in motion.  As far as sleep cleaning the brain, I can understand that idea.  I am a firm believer in sleep cleans the body of toxins as well, so why would the brain be involved in the flushing of the day's intake and the body's storage of such toxins.  As far as the cells shrinking to allow for the plumbing to work and clean and flush, to me that makes perfect sense.  Why wouldn't the cells relax and shrink a little when they aren't needed to control the whole body,  its their time to breathe. Week 3

I find no surprise that 99.4% of DNA are identical between humans and chimps.  Evolution is a long slow process and it all has to start somewhere.  We can go as far back as to say that everything alive came from single cell organisms.  To try and state that most species alive today evolved into exactly what they are as we see them now, is kind of ridiculous in my opinion.  Humans did not just evolve into humans, as neither did birds, zebras, lions, tigers or bears.  There was a predecessor for most of we in life today...
